The Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route presents its wine tourism offer in Seville
More than forty people discovered the experiences offered by this itinerary, which is part of the Spanish Wine Routes.
The Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route has presented its wine tourism offer in Seville, experiences that combine culture, gastronomy, nature, and tradition around wine and cava, offering a route to enjoy the finest flavors of Extremadura.
Nearly fifty attendees discovered this itinerary, which is part of the Spanish Wine Routes Product Club, an initiative promoted by the Spanish Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN).
The presentation took place on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 29, at the headquarters of the Casa de Extremadura in Seville, a cultural association with around 3,000 members from across Spain, not only from Extremadura, who visit the region each year to explore its artistic, cultural, scenic, and gastronomic heritage.
The Route includes forty establishments, ranging from accommodation and restaurants to wineries, leisure companies, gourmet shops, tourist offices, and museums such as the Wine Science Museum of Almendralejo, the Villafranca de los Barros Museum, and the Almendralejo Cava Museum, the only one in Spain dedicated exclusively to cava.
The presentation was led by Route technician Isabel García, who also conducted a guided wine pairing tasting. Attendees sampled “Blasón de Turra” pardina (Santa Marta de los Barros Cooperative), “Castillo de Villalba” rosé (Montevirgen Cooperative), and “Puerta Palma” cava (Bodegas Orán).
The Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route is located within the Ribera del Guadiana and Cava Designations of Origin. According to the Spanish Wine Routes Observatory, more than 24,000 people enjoyed this wine tourism itinerary in 2024, including 3,000 who participated in organized activities.
