To this end, it has launched the 1st National Journalism Award Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route, an award whose purpose is to recognize the work of communication and journalism professionals who, through their work, contribute to generating knowledge and visibility of this wine tourism itinerary, which is part of the Spanish Wine Routes Product Club.
The submission period for entries remains open until May 29, 2026, at 23:59 (peninsular time). All individuals over 18 years old may participate in this competition, either individually or as co-authors, provided they can demonstrate a professional link to journalism, communication, or the creation of informative content.
Journalistic works are accepted in the following formats: print press, digital press, radio report or podcast, television or digital audiovisual report or piece, and multimedia report.
The best journalistic story or investigation will be evaluated, as well as the best coverage that highlights the Route as a leading wine tourism destination, along with its cultural, social, tourism, and territorial values.
