Cave San Jose Winery
Bodega Cave San José, was founded in 1963 by 15 residents of the town of Villafranca de los Barros, currently has more than 1000 members. The Agricultural Wine Cooperative Extremeña “San José”, located in the middle of the Ruta de la Plata, follows the tradition in the elaboration of its wines.
The vineyards, located in the region of Tierra de Barros, on soft reddish-brown hills, sometimes associated with olive trees give the landscape a very personal touch.
They seek the highest quality in the production of their wines, as a priority objective, and for this we do not spare efforts, combining at the same time tradition with the application of the most advanced technologies.
For this reason, for all those who travel along the Ribera del Guadiana Wine Route, this is an essential visit, to get to know first-hand one of the most impressive wineries in Extremadura, both for its size and its great social mass. Especially spectacular at harvest time, a memorable experience.
