Romale Wineries

Bodegas Romale was founded in 1989 and is located in Almendralejo, capital of Tierra de Barros and heart of the D.O. Ribera del Guadiana. It is in a privileged location and has land that is particularly suitable for growing vines. At Bodegas Romale we make sure to select the best grapes, as we are aware of the importance of the raw material in the final result. We select healthy grapes in perfect conditions of ripeness, acidity, color intensity and tenacity. The ageing of our wines takes place in underground cellars where the wine rests in perfect conditions of humidity and temperature.

The wine matures in contact with wood extracted from American and European forests. After ageing, the wine is bottled and continues to rest in these cellars, developing the characteristic and specific bouquet of our land and grapes before being released onto the market.

In 1998 we expanded our facilities by acquiring the most modern winemaking technology.

One of the latest projects of our winery has been the elaboration of a sparkling wine by the traditional method, starting from the second fermentation of a base wine coupage of the Macabeo and Parellada varieties, as well as a monovarietal Xarel.lo and Garnacha for the rosés.

All of them under the D.O. Cava. Perseverance, research and observance throughout the whole process is our main objective in order to always offer wines of the highest quality and with their own style.
