A NEW EDITION OF THE COLORS OF THE HARVEST
A rich diversity of landscapes, experiences for all kinds of travelers, culture, gastronomy, and nature. What more could you ask for to wine experience… The Colors of the harvest.
The territory shaped by Ribera del Guadiana is a shifting landscape all year round. It is a colorful mosaic that transforms from a sea of green vineyards in August to ochres, yellows, and reddish tones in autumn. On the horizon, centuries-old vineyards and olive trees blend with the red clay under the sunset light, surrounded by vast stretches of dehesa (pastureland) and Mediterranean forest, with the Vía de la Plata as the central axis of it all. This is a region that treats you to culture, history, heritage, tradition, festivals, and a thousand and one plans to share and enjoy with family, friends, elders, and partners. This autumn, we invite you to discover the province of Cáceres through the Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route… wine tourism in its purest form.
With the onset of autumn, the color of the vineyards shifts, giving way to their most important season: the harvest. Ribera del Guadiana dresses in orange, red, and ochre hues, offering wine tourism activities for all audiences. These are ‘The Colors of the Harvest’, an initiative organized by the Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route, supported by the Provincial Council of Cáceres through its Sustainable Development and Tourism department. This program aims to surprise travelers with a wide range of activities in towns and cities such as Romangordo, Casar de Cáceres, Trujillo, Guadalupe, Cañamero, and Acehúche. The lineup includes wine pairings with cheese and Iberian cured meats, heritage tours, routes through vineyard landscapes, live cooking sessions, and tank tastings…
Traveling to Ribera del Guadiana this autumn guarantees a constant surprise of emotions and experiences. It means discovering unimaginable hidden corners right here, in a land where life is lived intensely. It is synonymous with light, contrasts, health, water, magic, and the small wine-related pleasures of a surprising paradise that must be savored slowly, sip by sip, and with the peacefulness of an infinite toast…
Ribera del Guadiana. This Autumn… Wine tourism in its purest form. Dozens of activities centered around ‘The Colors of the Harvest’ are organized into themed categories—ranging from nature and gastronomy to culture, astrotourism, and birdwatching—allowing you to experience an intense time of the year in a magical place.
