Travel agencies and tour operators discover the experiences offered by this route, part of Spain’s Wine Routes

The Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route presented its wine tourism offerings in Portugal, in partnership with Turespaña, the public agency attached to the Spanish Ministry of Industry and Tourism responsible for promoting the country as a tourist destination worldwide.

The Route participated this past Tuesday, May 26, in a Road Show in Porto organized by Turespaña, where travel agencies and tour operators from Portugal had the opportunity to discover the experiences offered by this wine tourism route, which is part of Spain’s Wine Routes.

The Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route is part of the Wine Routes of Spain Product Club, an entity promoted by the Association of Wine Cities (ACEVIN) and brings together more than forty establishments that offer experiences related to culture, gastronomy, nature and tradition surrounding wine and cava.

Accommodation, restaurants, wineries, themed leisure companies, gourmet shops, tourist offices, and museums are all part of this route, which lies within the Ribera del Guadiana Designation of Origin (DO) and Cava DO regions.

Portuguese travel agencies and tour operators learned about the experiences offered by the Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route during this multi-destination presentation coordinated by Turespaña. Other participants included the Extremadura Tourism Board and representatives from various Spanish regions, such as Madrid, Murcia, Galicia, Andalusia, Castile and León, Cantabria, Aragon, and Asturias, as well as autonomous cities like Ceuta. The Network of Jewish Quarters of Spain and Paradores, among other institutions and organizations, also participated.
