It forms part of an exclusive group of destinations specializing in wine tourism with high standards of quality.
The appellation of Origin of Ribera del Guadiana, created in 1999, is divided in six subzones distributed across the provinces of Badajoz and Cáceres in Extremadura. It is an area with deep-rooted winemaking traditions and remarkable landscape diversity.
More than 30 grape varieties are cultivated, including Tempranillo, Macabeo, and the native Pardina and Cayetana. This diversity makes possible the production of young wines, crianzas, and reservas through both traditional and innovative techniques.
